Staveley Miners Welfare Football Club
Facility Development including Town Fund applications
Since 2019 we have supported Staveley Miners Welfare Football Club on a number of funding submissions to improve their facilities. This has included the development of a floodlit full size artificial grass pitch, grass pitch improvements, car park enhancements both on and off site and a most recently an application to develop a classroom and clubhouse expansion for the delivery of football education programmes.
Funding for the project (in excess of £1.7m) has been obtained from the Football Foundation, Premier League Stadia Fund, Viridor Credits and Staveley Town Fund. This was a unique opportunity to access levelling up funding for the area to provide investment into Football.
